Episode 6: Doctor Handcuffs?

Snap! Not The Mind Probe is back with a look at the latest story aired in the United States, Forest of the Dead, allowing for a smooth progression from this podcast’s Episode 5 despite a short hiatus.  An “explanation” of sorts for said hiatus is given within.

The music used in this episode includes Doctor? by Orbital, the 1965 version of the Doctor Who end titles, and incidental music from Doctor Who and the Silurians and The Seeds of Doom.

Episode 4: Worst Episode Ever [FIXED]

Apologies to everyone who downloaded the prior version of this podcast. The wrong media file was included in the feed and you may have heard only the mash-up rather than the podcast episode. Please re-download to hear the true podcast.

With no new episodes of Doctor Who this week, I spend some time, but not too much, talking about The Horns of Nimon. Many people regard this to be one of the worst episodes of the show’s run since 1963, but the episode holds a fond place in my heart and memory.

I also present my “mashup” of the original Doctor Who theme and a Pink Floyd song. Pink Floyd must have been fans of Doctor Who at some level, because bits of the Doctor Who theme are “hidden” within a couple of their songs throughout the years.

If you want to download just the mashup, do that here: Doctor Sheep Who.

Episode 3: Doctor Whodunit

The audio attached to this blog entry contains Episode 3 of the newest Doctor Who podcast, Not The Mind Probe. Thanks to all our subscribers and visitors. In this episode I reveal interesting news pertaining to Doctor Who, followed by some discussion about the latest episode to air on the BBC, The Unicorn and the Wasp.

In the news, Russell T Davies will be leaving the helm as executive producer of Doctor Who before the fifth series airs in 2010. Steven Moffat, the writer of some of what many fans consider to be the best stories of the first three series of the new Doctor Who, will replace Russell as executive producer and head writer. For more information, listen to the podcast, and see Doctor Who guru Davies steps down from BBC News.

Also, there has been a lot of buzz amongst Doctor Who fans in the blogosphere as well as copyright enthusiasts thanks to the BBC’s warning letter to a knitter sharing patterns based on Doctor Who characters.

Finally, within the podcast, I promised a link to Jack Harkness’s video documentary about the Vespiform, the alien featured in the latest episode of Doctor Who.

The music used in this episode includes Doctor? by Orbital and the 1989 version of the Doctor Who end titles.

This podcast may contain small plot details or spoilers.

Episode 2: The Doctor’s Daughter Cubed

Today I’m releasing the second episode of the most intriguing Doctor Who podcast, Not The Mind Probe. In episode 2, I congratulate Steven Moffat for winning a recent award but spend most of my time fawning over Peter Davison’s daughter (Georgia Moffett), the character she plays (Jenny), and the episode in which she appears, all referred to as “The Doctor’s Daughter.”

I enjoyed the episode but not without criticism, so tune into today’s podcast.

The music used in this episode includes Doctor? by Orbital and the 1980 version of the
Doctor Who end titles.

This podcast may contain small plot details or spoilers.
